The 550 Spyder accepts air- or liquid-cooled engines coupled to manual transmission. BSC can arrange to have a custom, pro-built motor installed on a client's behalf and deliver a turnkey car. Naturally, the vehicles performance is up to owner and budget.

All 550 Spyders are built using new parts mounted on new tubular steel chassis. Cars are fitted with gas-filled shock absorbers and have custom adjustable ride-height control. Competing kits based on VW floorpans have a fixed ride height because they can only accept stock VW suspension.

Illustrated is a 1915cc air-cooled engine. The model shown is supplied with a dyno sheet and fitted with optional dual Weber carbs.
