The Aviator grey "Liquid 356 Speedster"
shown here was custom ordered by Thomas McCoy of St George, Utah, pictured
with his car.
Bumpers were removed and holes filled, all side trim removed and no Speedster
emblems were fitted to give the car a distinct and cleaner look.
The car is fitted with aluminum pedals, aluminum gas tank, and aluminum
radiator duct.
All the plumbing from the front to the rear is aluminum 1.5" tube with no
welds or joints to avoid future leaks or problems. A third tube containing
steel fuel lines runs to the factory Subaru submersible fuel pump.
The pictures show our custom aluminum gas tank which uses the factory Subaru
fuel pump hanger and sending units. All lines come out the top of the tank,
to prevent leaks in the future, a design feature all new cars have today.
The Subaru engine can also be fitted to our 550 Spyder, mated to a 4, 5
or 6 speed transmissions.
Both the 356 and 550 will accept the turbo version of the liquid-cooled
engine. Indeed, the only limits are those of the owners imagination and
creativity.
Both cars come with heat, custom gas tank and fuel injection as standard.
Although we have not officialy tested fuel consumption in our road tests
we have returned gas mileage around 36-39 mpg
